Magnetic-field Ultrafast Spectroscopy

Our new optical spectroscopy lab will have a 7 Tesla magnetic optical cryostat from Oxford Instruments coupled to a multi-color, multi-pulse femtosecond laser system. Also, in the CINT nano-scale optics lab, we have a 5 Tesla, low temperature micro-PL system.

National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (NHMFL)

Additionally, through extensive collaborations with Scott Crooker of the LANL of the NHMFL, we have access to static (20 T), long pulse (<1s, 50 T), and short pulse (20 ms, 90 T) magnetic fields for spectroscopic studies.
